Special gift (November 30, 2010)
In November, our foundation received a part of a German Dornier airplane. This part was found by the company Boskalis/Van Oord during sucking the sand for streng-thening the coastal defense.

New bunker chairs supplied
(September 30, 2010)
In late September, the foundation received bunker chairs. One of our sponsors (PRO&K renovatie & onderhoud) brought us into contact with Haagbouw Foun-dation. Haagbouw is the training company in The Hague for the training courses Carpenter, Mason and Tiler.

Day of the Hague History
(September 13, 2010)
The Day of the Hague History will be organized for the sixth time on Saturday, October 23th by the Hague Municipal. The purpose of this Day is to all residents familiar with the rich history of The Hague and to discover it by themselves.

Commandpost opened on Heritage
Days (September 2, 2010)
The Atlantikwall Museum Scheveningen Foundation proposes a bunker open to the public. The commandpost of type 608 is located to the opposite of the Badhuisweg 119-133. The occupier builded a bunkercomplex in the edge of the Nieuwe Scheve-ningse Bosjes.

Alderman Sander Dekker visits WN66 HM (August 27, 2010)
Borough Councillor Sander Dekker visited the former Widerstandsnest 66 HM in the Westduinpark at August 24th. This remnant of the Atlanticwall includes a 340 me-ters long tunnelcomplex with a crewbunker, ammunition- and waterstorage and a Dutch bunker.

Commandpost opened on
Day of the Architecture
(June 21, 2010)
On Saturday June 26th, during the Day of the Architecture (DOTA), the command-post at the Badhuisweg will be open to the public. Visitors are welcome on this day between 10.00 and 16.00 hours. This commandpost is located at the Badhuisweg to opposite numbers 119-133.

Bunkerviews at the Zwarte Pad
(June 8, 2010)
To celebrate 65 years of liberation Dunea, the The Hague Historical Museum and our foundation organizes visits to the bunkers at the Zwarte Pad in Scheveningen. The German bunkers were among the coastal battery Scheveningen Nord and had to defend an invasion of the Allies.

Initiative for monument at Ockenburgh
(May 7, 2010)
On May 10, it's 70 years ago that The Netherlands was invaded by German troops. Besides the airports Valkenburg and Ypenburg, the Germans wanted to conquer the auxiliary airport Ockenburgh at Loosduinen.

ANZAC Day
(April 28, 2010)
On Saturday, April 25 the ANZAC Day commemoration was held at the cemetery Westduin. On behalf of our foundation the member of the board Jeroen Trimbos
and the volunteers Patrick Pronk and Melvin Oostdijk were present. During the commemoration a wreath was layed by our foundation.

Great interest bunkers boulevard

With great interest, more than a thousand interested visited on Saturday, April 17 the recently excavated fortifications. The visitors got a quick tour under the lea-dership of the guides of our foundation.

Recently excavated bunkers open to public
(April 13, 2010)
The recently excavated Dutch S-3 machinegunbunker, a German bunker and the underground tunnelcomplex at the boulevard will be opened to the public on next Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 to 17:00 hours by our foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague.

Loosduinen Retrospective 1940-1945

After the success of last year the library Loosduinen is organizing another historic walk with the theme Loosduinen Retrospective 1940-1945. This time is a walk of about five kilometers, which will last two hours.

Extending collection
(March 23, 2010)
Recently the Atlantikwall Museum Scheveningen Foundation has added a Sehrohr 9 periscope to its collection. This 3 meter long periscope was used in some bunkers to observe the area.

Public lecture on Ockenburg
(March 4, 2010)
E.H. Brongers
At the invitation of the Atlantikwall Museum Scheveningen Foundation the ret. Lt. Col. o.d. E.H. Brongers will be held a public lecture on Sunday, April 11th on the battle for The Hague. This year it is exactly 70 years ago that the invasion took place in The Netherlands.

Atlantikwall Museum receives parts of a Blenheim
(January 29, 2010)
On Wednesday, January 20 the Atlantikwall Museum Scheveningen Foundation received a three-bladed propeller, an armor plate and two parts from the cockpit
of a Bristol Blenheim bomber. On May 10, 1940 this aircraft bombed the airport Ypenburg to fight against the German attack.
